Yeah … if they don’t prosecute the fuck out of it, abusing every rule possible to do so, then the fascists will be back in the next election.
And the stupid, short-memory voters will be (justifiably) unhappy with the status quo, and they’ll stupidly vote for ‘different’ … which means voting the fascists back in.
