As far as I’ve ever been able to tell, “separation of Church and State” is not enshrined in the Constitution of the United States?
What people mistake for that is in the First Amendment, which says, among other things, that Congress shall pass no law restricting the freedom of religion… or something like that. It never guarantees you will be free from religion, but it does guarantee that you will have the freedom to practice religion. Those are two different things. This has been creatively interpreted to say “if you allow Christian imagery, you have to also allow imagery from my religion,” which has allowed the Satanic Temple to erect statues of Satan in public buildings. This doesn’t fly everywhere. But when it does, the Satanic Temple likes to tell everybody about it.
Trump made the national language English (it was not defined before) and he can likely make the national religion Christianity. That means as much as the state that Google paid to make the state mobile operating system Android. You can still buy and use iPhones in that state, and you’ll still be able to practice Judaism, Islam, or be Atheist in America. That being said, there are a lot of good, useful quotes in the Bible to know, so it wouldn’t hurt to brush up on it. You can find free Bible resources online. My favourite one is in Proverbs 26. I’m not sure of the exact verse, but it has something about “fools returning to their folly like a dog returns to its own vomit.” I’ve had lifelong Christians swear that’s not in the Bible. It absolutely is. It’s a very nice way to tell someone they aren’t talking about shit.
