What makes you think they haven’t already? For all we know they could be buried in some third world supermax prison. Multiple citizens have already been victimized by crazy bullshit like this with little to no meaningful repercussions.
yeah once you don’t apply due process to anyone it effectively removes all right s from everyone. its process that determines the legal truth of any allegations. Without it all allegations are treated as truth.
I wouldn’t place any bets, but because it’s local police it’s less likely to have happened, yet. There’s more opportunity for outside observers to catch them, prior to ICE taking custody. Once it’s allowed to happen en masse, it’s only a matter of time.
