    Wow, I wasn’t expecting so many conspiracy theorists on the leftish side of the political spectrum. That’s concerning.

      It all depends on how one uses the theory. It’s good to consider alternative ideas. It’s just when you set yourself on believing one absolute that you have problems.

        It’s not good when it’s based on beliefs. There is no evidence pointing to it being staged.

        Exploring the possibility and finding evidence is a good thing, that’s the basis of science. This is not whatnis going on here.

      A friend of a friend studies the spread of conspiracy theories. A while back (during the first Trump admin, IIRC) I was talking to them and they mentioned that there are pretty much just as many conspiracies on the left as on the right. The big difference is that the left doesn’t have Fox News (the most widely watched TV news in the US) amplifying their conspiracy theories.
