I’ve never tried an egg coffee before, so I hope it’s good!

Allegedly the story behind egg coffee is that the egg was added to reduce the amount of condensed milk, of which there was a shortage at the time.

The condensed milk is still in the recipes that I pull up on a quick search, although maybe in reduced quantities.

The combination of egg (think eggnog), sweetness, and the bitterness of coffee works! It’s decadent though. I’d only get it once in a while lol. Also I’ve tried it both hot and cold -I personally think hot works better.

i had a bunch last year when i was in HCMC and they were soooo good! super stoked there will be a spot downtown - they’re already open, i’m going to stop by this weekend. thick desserty coffee, really nice little treat. more decadent than the condensed milk kind (love em both) definitely go try one!

ok so it is an iced egg coffee, and it is very tasty. the egg cream on top is sweet and thick and the coffee is very strong. also had the pork banh mi which was just ok. i would definitely get the iced coffee if i was in the hood but i wouldn’t travel for it
