Trying to speculate about what Donald believes or knows is an exercise in futility because he’s a strong narcissist who’s getting dementia. He believes in whatever he believes at that exact moment and it has nothing to do with the past or the future or reality, and if you haven’t been around people like that, it’s hard to understand, but you have to stop expecting them to have a normal brain. Logic doesn’t matter. Facts don’t matter. Reason doesn’t apply.
The simplest explanation is that the US in not an ally of Ukraine (or Europe).
It was an ally before the Trump came.
I’m not so sure the US was a proper ally of Europe (there has long been overt talk in the US about Europe as a competitor and a lot of effort from US sources to try and weaken the EU with for example funding campaigning for Brexit) but I do believe that before Trump the US was an ally of Ukraine.

Even if acknowledged, the US is not going to go to war with Russia. The US could sanction Russia, though.
Or kinetic sanctions - resume aid to Ukraine. Just give more stuff for Ukraine to shoot into Russia. Let Russia learn its lesson real fast.

Lemmygrad - yes. Hexbear and ml - yes, but diluted with some regular content to appear normal and gather ordinary unsuspecting souls into their instance.
It’s q-anon but they let in gay people. It presents a comforting dualistic worldview, supported by shadowy, unfalsifiable conspiracies. There’s elements of flat Earth theory in there too, in that it’s blatently contrary to what everyone else sees/thinks in a way that allows them to feel very clever for seeing through the illusion.

Aha, this explains a lot, actually. It is a bit weird experience to be on a neutral instance, that federates all others(or most of them), and then see defederation on other instances.
Don’t see any, never do, but always complaints about .ml’s. Such a weird thing to do. It’s different servers, it’s like complaining about Facebook bots. Just leave and ignore them. Or go to their servers and fight them there.
Users from there can post and comment here. They often show up and try to gaslight everyone that Russia is good, Ukraine is bad and that communism + USSR were the best creations of humanity.

I still don’t understand the importance, what change in strategy should the United States make knowing this? does they need to confirm it? Because for me it is obvious that Russia shares information with Iran, it was obvious that it was going to happen before starting the war and there is nothing at any level that the USA can do beyond saying, oh boy, what bad luck is mine

Trump’s war in Iran diverted weapons away from Ukraine (which were already bought and paid for by Europe), to be used in Iran. It also increased the global price of oil and gas, which benefits Russia because they can now sell their oil at that higher price.
