This is a live thread, I bet the title changes later. But this is what it reads now:

Iran live updates: Trump says Iran ‘can be taken out in one night’

“The entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night,” he said of Iran during a briefing at the White House.

What a Stable genius

Isn’t it common knowledge that if Trump were to do what he’s saying he’s going to do tomorrow, that Iran will demolish all the drilling, refining, and shipping infrastructure they can in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE? Iran has said they would do this. If Trump decides to do this, the oil and commodities shock that’s still barely begun to hit will be 10x worse, and permanent. That’s not to speak of the civilian death toll Trump and Netanyahu would cause

Trump is desperate, and is spewing all kinds of bullshit. Remember trump believes prosperity gospel, he literally thinks he can bend reality with his will. But of course when his lawyers or other people that work for him can’t, it doesn’t work. They do the work, and Trump believes it was him that did it.

Trump is actively destroying USA, and 83% of the people that voted for him, still support him.

    https://edition.cnn.com/2026/04/04/politics/voter-regret-trump-2024

“very confident” in their vote. But today, that number has declined to 62%.
21% of Trump voters said they were still “confident” in their votes

Meaning that a frigging 83% of the people that voted for Trump, still support the shit he is doing!

So far as I know, there is no reason to think that Trump believes in the prosperity gospel. He wants the people who do to follow him, but I would be surprised if he believes in anything at all (including religion, philosophy, physics, and other human beings).

Actually, this one has some facts behind it. To the extent that Trump has any faith, it was shaped by Norman Vincent Peale, as the Trump family attended his church in Manhattan. Peale’s theology isn’t quite as “fuck poor people” as Prosperity Theology, but is just as narcissistic.

That’s a fair point. The prosperity gospel came along well after Peale’s time, but he probably would have liked it. He was another sociopath in the same mold.

Agreed. It’s not prosperity gospel. It’s the fact he’s never personally suffered the negative consequences of his actions. Someone has always been in his employ to fix it for him or he’s victimized someone by not paying them.

He waves his magic wand and things go his way, problems aren’t his problem.

I think we have nukes now that one could level half the United States. So not sure we need more than one.

But really what happens if he does this? Trump wants to use one so badly I see him doing so before his time is up. Just want to know the consequences of him doing so?

Err pretty sure that’s not a thing. The biggest nuke detonated was tzar bomba and it most certainly was nowhere near devastating half the US. It was detonated in Kazakhstan. There still people living there and it’s much smaller than the US.

I would suggest that dropping on on Iran would be a significant war crime, and a crime against humanity. At the very least the Trump and his chain of command would be wanted for war crimes across the globe including at least half the US. Further to this they’d be breaking the gentleman’s agreement that no-one uses nukes so would we be entering. MAD situation?
