If pollsters are not digging deeper, it might be easier to believe that the anger at “both parties” is for similar reasons in all cases. I’m voting democrat. Not because I think they are much better in the realm of health care and social equality. I will vote for them because they are not the fucking nazis.

I had an acquaintance complain early in 2025 about how he’s fed up with how “both sides are so extreme”. I asked for some examples from the left. He started with the litany about trans and “open borders”.
I asked for Democratic politicians that are pushing something “too extreme”. No real answer. It’s just about the caricature of what “the left” is to these types or relying on nut-picking that Faux provides to them of activists/influencers from the left. They are just (temporarily) embarrassed by Republicans like Donvict, really, and will probably never vote Democratic.
