As someone who grew up as a fundamentalist Southern Baptistā¦ itās fundamental/evangelical Christianity thatās so bad.
My dad was a preacherās kid, son of a Methodist minister. Heās still somewhat conservative in some ways, but heās fine with LGBTQ+, and his philosophy is basically that while he believes in God, he canāt make that choice for anyone else, so he doesnāt really worry about it for anyone else, i.e. doesnāt evangelize, etc.
If all Christians were like my dad, Iād probably be okay still being a Christian instead of the atheist I am.
