    The point of NATO was to have a mutual defense pact that doesn’t include wars of aggression that the USSR wouldn’t ignore even without nuclear threats, but sure.

    Something makes me doubt you apply the same rhetoric to the existence of the Warsaw Pact for some reason.

      Well no, the Warsaw pact was a defensive organization, theres a fundamental difference between the foreign policy of countries where capital dictates policy and communist countries.
