    Huh that’s neat! I can’t find much more on this piece, beyond the book the photo appears to come from.

    But there’s a bit of information about bꜣ (ba). Interesting conceptualisation of a sort of personality that can imbue living and inanimate objects. Never knew the Egyptians split a ‘soul’ up into 9 unique aspects.

    There’s even a character for it

      Glad someone else is digging it! I’ve come across it via the book you’ve linked. Apparently some form of bird has been used as the symbol of the soul for many ancient cultures across the globe.
