Be careful here mate! This word is already taken. I didn’t spend months using this word on my own just for someone stealing it with a nice meme.

I’ll fight for it and I BITE!!

Actually… I did some research. The earliest use of the word “fediversing” can be traced back to this comment from June 10th 2023.

I actually found little evidence of you using the word prior to today, only one time 10 months ago.

      Check… mate!?

After checking. You might be right. I remember using it in English way more than I actually did.

I find much more content of me using in french, like here when I give a définition 2 years ago: https://jlai.lu/comment/5917799

Back to when I was a young account and had motivation, I even wrote tutorial on which fonctionnality properly fediverse: https://jlai.lu/post/2386279
They are probably completely obsolete now. I did keep going with Lemmy and Bookwyrm, that’s why I have toots under the tags fediversion and fédiverser: https://sharkey.world/tags/fédiversion

Interesting, fédiverser could be called fediversieren in german.

Of course I want it but the term fediverse means sending content from one software to another thought the power of commun protocole and federation. I’ve decided it unilateraly and stand by it.

I’ve got my whole history to prove interiority if I have to fight it in front of a moderator court *agressive grunts*

Like if your Lemmy post is seeing and interacted from mastodon. It is federating. If you like a PieFed post or answer it, your action are federating to the post instance and federating away to all this other software’s instance that are federated.
