Hi,
this is a follow up the post about Over Ear Headphones. I was set on two contender the repeat audio prince and the fairphone fairbuds xl from the Netherlands.
Both have their pros and cons and are of high value, but in the end I returned them. The repeat audio has a clear audio, but the tuning did not meet my expectations (at least for my style of music). The fairbuds come with an App and equalizer and performed as good/or even better as Teufel entry-level headphones (Real Blue NC). I returned them as the enry-level headphones were priced 100€ below.
You already mentioned some good brands in the comments of the old post, and I’m once again asking for your support to make a small list of manufacturers. Just like we did with the Fountain Pens and Jeans.

There’s Meze from Romania if you want to spend some serious cash. Fantastic quality from all I’ve heard, but never personally tried them.

Added them here. They weren’t on my personal list as the page says: produced “fairly” (whatever that means) in China.
In that case you can cross of (part) of Austrians lineup as well. While their more expensive headphones are made in Austria (or at least were) I’m fairly certain that the Bluetooth ones are made in China.
Yes. That is why I initial tested the two from the Netherlands.
There are at least two manufacturers in Finland, that make over ear headphones.

I had great experiences with Sennheiser (Momentum, ancient make. They looked cooler back in the day).
From Denmark there’s B&O, but while all other over-ear headphones seem to last forever the pair I had from B&O broke within a month. That was a few years ago, but I’m a bit hesitant to recommend them since.
Beyerdynamic is a Chinese company, as far as I know.
Focal is a French company that for the most part keeps manufacturing in Europe.
Argon Audio is a Danish company, but it’s hard to find out where they make their stuff. Most likely somewhere in Asia, though.
AIAIAI is also Danish. I doubt they manufacture locally.

Bowers & Wilkins is British, but most of their products are manufactured in China.
Beyerdynamic is still having its HQ in Germany, according to wikipedia.
That, and the sale hasn’t been finalized yet. As of today, it’s a German company, although legally it may not be for much longer.
