      It’s because, on a neurological level, we don’t actually record most details about the world we move through. Our brain generates most of the details in common places and situations that we’ve been in before, only ever recording important details and discarding them once they’re no longer interesting. If you look for new details, you’ll usually find things you don’t remember being there.
