Context: The Battle of Watling Street (AD 60-61) was a total Roman victory. Queen Boudica led the British tribes of 230,000 to revolt against the Romans of 10,00(0). Boudica’s forces were crushed.

Numbers of “combatants” are debatable on the British side as women, children and civilians may have been counted due to them being near the vicinity of the battle and were “added” to the casualties near the end of the battle.
