    The opening scene of Discovery has Pike eating breakfast with Batel and telling her he cannot discuss what is bothering him because she does not have clearance.

    Wasn’t that scene in the first SNW episode? Because I remember that one, I had been referring to the Discovery episode that they showed in the flashbacks for that episode. From what I’ve heard and what they said in SNW 1x10, he used the time crystals to see his accident.

      Yes, I meant SNW. And that is where she was confused (and me too apparently) about what was happening at the start of a brand new show.

        The way they set it up definitely assumed everyone had seen Discovery! It would have been nice if they had laid it out a little better.
