What gets me is a lot of politeness and kind little acts are just efficiency and enjoyable. Myself and my neighbors in a condo get each others mail. No one goes out of their way (mostly. there is an older lady we often will go out since she does not get around so well) they just grab the stuff for neighbors they pass by on their way back to their unit. Holding doors or not closing them after you check if someone is coming back. Just a lot of little things. Why not grab a cart that was not put away near your car as you go into the store rather than waiting to grab a cart once you get to the door. Heck traffic flows better when people use their signal and ease off the gas if someone is merging in front of you.
