In the study, researchers crafted job adverts that called for a candidate high in one of six personality factors including honesty-humility, emotionality, extroversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience.

The results were consistent across four experiments: candidates with smoother-sounding names were seen as better fits for roles seeking honesty, emotionality, agreeableness, and openness.

On the flip side, “spikier” sounding names like Tate or Krista were judged as more extroverted.

TBH the two groups don’t really feel like they have a common theme. Probably explained better in the study.

Well, that explains a few things. I have a “spiky” name. It’s also “outdated” and “too long” as well. People refuse to use it, including romantic partners.
