Most of that is simply because men are the predominant victims, and we’ve seen enough historical records that most men have experienced that. And of course there are a lot of men who haven’t. I’m just going to go with the assumption that most women are not homicidal. But there is a tiny minority of people who are. The ones we usually don’t think of when we say “men are superior to women” are the ones we rarely think of when we say “men are superior to men.” That’s the other way around.
