    oops spoiler

I believe they meant the movie, V for Vendetta. And E for effort is probably the grade?

Ah. Never heard of the movie. The grade is hilarious, never heard that before either. Thanks.

C is for cookie is apparently from Sesame Street, which I didn’t grow up with (not American). Soooo, I’m blaming my upbringing for my failure 😉

I don’t think the effort one is meaning E for effort, instead its probably going for the phrase ‘A for effort’, meaning I’d give you an A grade for trying even if it wasn’t successful

          Spoiler

I can assure you that the phrase “E for effort” exists. Some people use the “A for effort” variant, but I’m fairly certain that the “E” version is the older one.
