Yes of course it is a problem when the usa, france, russia etc do it, it obviously makes them evil countries. Weapons exist to kill.
The usa is responsible for approximately 42% of the global arms market. 1 country, 42%, clearly not the good guys.

As mentioned in the last line of my comment that you replied to.
I’m sure you can hand select passages about hitler that also suit your stance while making him seem like kermit the frog.
Since when are weapons not a problem?
One of the co-founders/co-ceo’s almost single handedly funded a racist political party https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Örebro_Party that wants Sweden to manufacture weapons.
The other co-founder/co-ceo stated he did not agree with it, but also doesn’t really care because ‘free speech’
Mullvad stated that users who were not happy could apply for refunds. some have, some haven’t.
Lemmy, and other social media platforms have multiple threads about this, including very obviously biased threads designed to mislead people into believing it was the company who made the donation, or that there is only one ceo.
Paying mullvad does equal funding that political party.
nice cop out there, perhaps you should join the mullvad marketing team

I’m happy for linus to send his zombies to distro’s (other than what I use), but they will just annoy people on forums etc, and blame linux after they use ai to f*ck it all up. You can only watch trashtubers for so long without clearly being trash yourself. We all start somewhere, and internet searches push people towards the biggest/trashiest channels, but anyone who is genuinely interested in tech, and wants it to improve in meaningful ways, will soon move on from linus et al.
No doubt KDE appreciates the shout out for being “viable” …

You should post on social media about that

You are welcome to spoon feed all of the linus fans with the flavour of the month distro"s, or now I guess with steam os. Less than 5% of them will be worth it. It’s very ironic to end up at linux due to someone like linus.

faster than 75% of calculator watches

That isn’t true, der8aur is good too :P

linus goes wherever the money and attention is. steam fanboys click like a lot.

walled articles do not belong on social media
An email and vpn provider promoting themselves as privacy conscious, and then developing ai should set off alarm bells. I was previously a customer of proton (email and vpn), you don’t have to pay attention to their products, social media, and customer service for long to realise that marketing is their strong point. Purple-washing may become a term for faux privacy companies in future.
“Given that many of us use Proton services and are privacy conscious” ~ oxymoron
Thank you Safing I have not heard of. ivpn not great for southern hemisphere (but do appear ethical) Tor I haven’t looked into for a long time I looked into nym not long ago and left myself this note ‘Pricey if doing per month, not if doing for year. Lack of transparency, shit website. Dodgy feel.’
Which 2 did he recommend?
There are definitely not plenty of them.
" The party has been variously characterised as left-wing and right-wing, as well as populist, nationalist and conservative."
“Leaving the EU and NATO were on the table for ÖP. Regarding NATO Allard claimed that Sweden cannot trust or rely on NATO and that the country should instead seek to massively increase its weapons production and also become a major arms exporter, arguing it would benefit the Swedish economy”
"The party advocates for remigration policies, strong secularism, and assimilationist policies such as immediate closure of the Islamic charter schools.[70][71][72] Markus Allard initiated heavy debate in 2025 by claiming that Sweden is “the land for/belongs to the Swedes”
They also want to remove fuel taxation, they are pro nuclear, and are anti wind turbine.
