Soup party sounds awesome.
I’m waiting on laundry, then I’m going to go to the gym, then I’m going to make mushroom stroganoff. Yesterday I managed to read 3 whole pages of Monday’s reading assignment, so hopefully today I can beat that.

This is normal . They think that saying hello to people you know is being polite and that polite people still don’t treat the people they hate badly. It’s not just women. I had a prolonged issue with a male coworker involving that.

My dad is still working on accepting that I’m not going to be able to work an enjoyable job in my life lol.

The AI doesn’t understand anything in any language. It’s just putting words in order by their association.
standard American big weekly trip + a few small trips, like a single bunch of spinach or a single carton of oat milk. American products are portioned to be family sized, so you’ve got a few days worth when you buy something.
It’s just part of our mating dance. It feels good and gets us in the mood.

“He said attorneys submitted her birth certificate and other documentation that they say proved she’s a U.S. citizen. But it still wasn’t enough to get her released from ICE custody.”
"In my years now of being an immigration attorney, I have never had to go this far for a case. What we were finally able to get and what we worked on getting was a lengthy affidavit from a medical professional, a doctor who described why the birth certificate was authentic,” Pérez said.
“Her attorneys say she remains under ICE supervision. They said the Department of Homeland Security continues to challenge in federal court the claim that she is a U.S. citizen and she still faces the threat of deportation.”
Horrifying but lines up with what happened in Chicago. They only care about what their internal data says, not facts.

Steal, guys. The word is steal.

I haven’t done any research into this idea, but I was thinking it could be a fair compromise to have unrestricted state visas . As in, the visa is only valid to live and work in that state. This would allow each state to flexibly respond to the labor needs of its economy each year. Then federal citizenship can be a restricted process, and limit migration to states that can’t utilize the extra labor.
But yeah they’ll probably come up with a massively insufficient increase and pretend it’s progress.

There isn’t a limit to filing them. There are a TON of limits to winning them though.

This is fire.
“The criminal in the White House will not be able to keep you from going to jail.”
“Because what they do is not only against the moral law, but the legal law”
I wish Kraus and Zappala were willing to take a stand like that.
I answered the question, “If you had to commit a misdemeanor in 60s, what would you do?” and then used another account.
First one got overturned by the mod, but then the account got banned for ban evasion. When I didn’t break the rule in the first place. /shrug

Possibly, and you could possibly be injured while being arrested and then charged with committing some crime along the lines of interfering with law enforcement.
The actual way to fight immigration enforcement is to convince your neighbors that immigrants aren’t hurting them.

As long as we can connect to the outside world, it can’t be catastrophically restricted. We’ll just be more like viewers of social advancements instead of participants.

I set a resolution to go to the gym 100 times this year, and I predict there is no way in hell I’m hitting that.

I graduated at 26. It’s now 4 years later, and I had to literally use a calculator to count how old I was. I say this to emphasize how little I care now, in contrast to how embarrassed I was at the time. I am now in law school at 30. Most of the people around me are 3-5 years younger, and it doesn’t matter at all. Nobody treats me differently or excludes me. Lots of people change careers all of the time. The needs of the economy change and you do your best. Most people aren’t privileged enough to be insulated from the state of the economy. Sometimes people are unemployed, or experiencing health crises, or helping their family. We all have our own issues and run our own race, and it’s better to make progress than be stagnant.

For me a typical Sunday is coffee shop, library with a book, walk through the park. Just walking around and being around other helps. I just left the gym today and surprisingly did not feel horrible. Actually feel a little worn out but good, would recommend.
Extremely common. I got into this unfortunate habit of hitting post and then editing typos afterward, and I think it increased the amount I do it by a lot.
