Ahhh, that makes perfect sense. My videos are 1080p and normally ~3 min long, exceeding that file size by around 10-20x. I guess we really are beholden to big tech in many ways. Damn.
Peertube, you say? I shall give it a looksie. Thanks for the response.

This is savage af. Is this considered a rare insult? I think it should be.

Well that was epic.
Just what kind of rig do you have? To be able to source video from that many different episodes without your hardware setting itself on fire? I could only dream.
Did you do all the transitions and keyframes and everything all in one go? Or was this a “nested doll” of you making 1000 different clips and putting them together?
I’ve actually sent them an email detailing how the HDR feature on my grandma’s TCL Roku tv was making the picture absolutely horrid, and demanded a way to either turn it off completely or flash a TCL “factory” (non-Roku) firmware.
Needless to say, they told me to go f—k myself, and I’ve made it a point to not buy TCL panels (including those manufactured by TCL for Samsung, LG, etc) or Roku products, and to do exactly as you say. In four years, none of my TVs have never known the taint of a WiFi connection or an accepted EULA.
Now I’m really sad that nVidia didn’t make the Shield a regular product line. Mine still works quite well.
