I do agree about the early hybrids, The OG prius was a dog. But I feel that they sorted it out quickly enough, engineered out the potential reliability issues of a more complex drive train, brought down the price of batteries and motor tech, etc.
They had a huge advantage in solving these problems before anyone else was touching hybrid tech, and then largely squandered the lead, and a chance to make everything they sell cleaner and more efficient.
Toyota is way too conservative. After nailing hybrid tech early on, it seems like they wasted the opportunity to put it on every vehicle they make which would have been such an amazing step forward, instead of treating it as a weird niche for so long.
Also that bz4x or whatever deserves a spot on the worst cars of all time list, just straight up ewaste.
Best way to use Fahrenheit is to consider it as a percentage of how hot it is. 0 degrees is zero percent hot, and 100 is fully hot. Beyond that you’re in super cold/hot territory.
But yeah, Celsius is still better.

I have a lack on wheels with rack servers at the bottom and a enclosed prusa 3D printer on top, is great, haha.
I use the ecowitt wh51, and they work pretty well. I have the 433mhz ones, but I’m using the ecowitt gateway, and not a rtl usb adapter.
They’re not that small though, but they run off a single AA battery, and the battery life is pretty good. Integrates well with home assistant.

I’ve worked with a ton of rack storage servers that handle like 45 disks. Even using older tech like 12-16TB drives you can get half a petabyte of usable space on one server even with raid array redundancies, etc.
Before the stupid AI hardware craze, these old enterprise servers were super cheap too, the main cost of running them was the power lol.
Steam deck has basically always been out of stock in Japan online. The Komodo reseller has done a terrible job here, and I hope that when Valve releases the next gen of hardware (machine, frame, controller) they’ll have the foresight to work with someone better, or sell it themselves.
I’ve bought/ imported a ton of electronics hardware for both personal and work use, and Komodo is not good.

Was at a bird sanctuary, approaching a blind, and there was this amazing blue kingfisher on a fence about a meter in front. I saw all of its spectacular colours, but I wasn’t ready with my camera at all, and it flew away a few moments after I arrived 😭
I waited for a good thirty minutes, but it never came back (saw it at various other spots along the water, but way too far to get a good photo).
This is such a gross move from MS, that will inevitably create more e-waste, just like their dumbass TPM 2.0 requirement.
Having said that, if anyone is looking for a solution (that isn’t just switch to Linux lol), I was able to turn my ancient Canon laser (with very tricky driver setup), into a driverless airprint model by using a raspberry pi as an intermediary.
You can connect your usb/wifi printer on the pi, and through cups/ avahi, host an airprint server on your network for any devices (desktop, laptop, phone, or whatever).

Anything over 600 is dead on arrival IMO.
In that case it would be valve having learned nothing from the failure of the previous steam machines largely owing to obscene pricing.
Compared to everything else on the market it had big problems with reliability, range, charging speed, and it was overpriced.
I think everyone expected that Toyota, with its hybrid experience and the benefits of seeing all other EVs on the market wouldn’t make such a poor attempt. It felt like they were poisoning the well, as if not wanting to compete in the EV space in the first place.
