Yup, SO many dems are willing to sacrifice minorities either out of genuine phobia or to appease and win some voters on the right. I know that the wish for ‘absolute moral purity’ can mess up SO MUCH in politics, especially for dems during elections as far as I have seen. Trans people make up such a small percentage of the population and are ALREADY victimized ridiculously more than they commit any crimes or moral failings and these people just feed into the deliberate misinformation campaign of “violent trans shooters”.

Reddit banned me and it genuinely felt like a much too toxic place in hindsight. It’s less stressful on here as well. Plus I needed a similar alternative as most specialized forums nowadays are dead and I am fond of the easy community style.

Do you mean a ‘nice guy’ (internet phenomenon) or an actually nice guy? Because people like nice guys more than bad guys. People like nice people more than bad people. The thing with bad guys might be that they are shitty enough to play at being superficially charming and understanding so vulnerable and/or naive people might end up flocking to them. That’s also how cults work. Cult leaders are ‘popular’ but not because they are actually good or nice people.

I feel like Caesar isn’t uninformed or stupid (the opposite actually)… but since he knows he is the only person with any semblance of an education he can just spew the biggest bullshit known to mankind and twist facts and words to convince his people to follow him. Really, who would correct him? Plus his ego is so big that he doesn’t accept criticism anyway, and since his people love him so much they don’t accept criticism of him either. Boom - you’ve got your infallible god-emperor. But wait, Caesar is humble so he isn’t the god Mars himself, only his son. That makes his bullshit story more believable because he is still mortal. He’s very intelligent but also the wasteland’s biggest grifter.

Thanks for the write-up. Forcefully stopping someone’s medical treatment (especially with effects as strong as HRT) already sounded terrible in theory but these side effects and the deliberate intention of torture are scary and horrible as fuck. Nope, I think you are right on point with that. I’ve seen users say they got strikes/bans and their comments removed for speaking out against any of those people and their friends and there’s clearly a push for anti-left content + some communities critical of the current American government get buried.

I got a Reddit ban for quoting a game on the game’s sub and all my appeals were ignored in spite of trying to explain it. Their AI moderation is HORRIBLE at picking up nuance and intent of the users.

While I understand your reasoning (although I don’t necessarily think that remasters/remakes are bad) I am not a fan of Bethesda’s current visual style for Fallout compared to Fallout 3/New Vegas in general so in this caae I’d fear they would change some really iconic designs. Oblivion afaik did it well but New Vegas and 3 fans are VERY protective of their precious games so I’d expect a lot of wariness and criticism. Plus, yeah, performance updates would be the biggest factor to include especially considering how bad New Vegas runs without mods but knowing Bethesda I would not be too hopeful lol. I’d still kill for a remaster but I’ll remain sceptical.
